Although 2020 has been a very shaky year with the Covid pandemic, the SLS 120 hour/4 week TEFL course was akin to finding a jewel you didn’t expect. I researched a half-dozen TEFL/CELTA providers in the Bangkok/Pattaya corridor. What attracted to me the SLS TEFL course was that despite the pandemic, the course was being taught in person with a full teaching practicum … and NOT on-line. At the invitation of Cillian Hayes (TEFL Instructor), I attended one of his lessons and observed several candidates conducting lessons the prior month to my start date. I began the course several weeks my visit and found the SLS family atmosphere, instructional content and wide-ranging teaching practicum to varied student lots invaluable. The follow-up support from resume guidance to job placement advice/assistance was also a nice touch. I’d encourage anyone in Pattaya and vicinity to enroll at a SLS course as it’s been a very meaningful experience.

I enjoyed the course very much. First time in my life I looked forward to going to school every day. My expectations were fully met considering the circumstances with the virus lockdown. Couldn’t of had it better. Teachers and staff very educated and knowledgeable plus extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend the SLS Training Centre and their TEFL Teacher Training Course

I enjoyed the course, first, because it did not take as long as the CELTA course I took eight years ago, and second, with only one classmate, I did not have to listen to and critique eleven other candidate’s presentations. Instead I worked with the other candidate taking less time to complete projects and assignments.
It was as I expected it to be, and it brought back some of the techniques I learned before.
If someone asked me about taking the course I would recommend SLS because I found the Instructor, Mr. Cillian Hayes to be a competent and patient teacher.
I cannot say whether anything should be added or subtracted as I thought pretty much everything was relevant to the course.
The certificates look extremely professional and are a nice conclusion to the course.

Taking the TEFL course at SLS with our instructor Cillian was very useful in different aspects: I feel prepared and more confident about teaching, it gave me a clear idea of what is expected from an English teacher, I ended up with several teaching resources with a whole methodology for teaching English and not to mention the great experience of being supervised in real environments. I think that if you want to be an English teacher in Thailand, it is the best step you can take. You can expect from Cillian and the SLS team to be professional and genuinely interested in your development so that you get good job opportunities.

Teaching english wasnt something that i would normally do! But due to covid and me stuck in thailand i looked into it and to tell you the truth i did alot of research online and SLS was the best looking company on the net and they responded very quickly to my email and it was very straight forward. I also had a friend who went with them and he also recommended them and a teacher i know with 15yrs behind him in teacher also told me they look like a very good company and price wise they was also very good so it was SLS. My course was very hard at times but our instructor cillian pushed us hard but he also helped us to relax and did help me after hours.Also missy was very helpful towards me and mam also gave me good advice and little mam and shompoo was also helpful it was like a little family.Now im not the brightest of people but cillian said just keep going and it will all come together and in time it did and to my surprize i not only passed but got a B+ . So i would like to thank you all for putting up with me for 1 month and helping me to pass.
